SUMMARY. Twin pregnancies are high risk pregnancies often complicated by premature delivery. As the etiology of
premature labor continues to be unsolved, prevention and treatment methods are limited. Identifying high risk pregnant
women in premature delivery in a group that is high risk is a challenge. Screening these pregnant women is based on
anamnesis, physical examination, biochemical indicators, and ultrasonic measurement of the cervix length. Prevention
of premature delivery in twin pregnancies is the most commonly used progesterone, cervical cerclage or cervical pesar.
There is currently no evidence that any of these methods reduces the incidence of premature labor.
